Miss Nicky

Hello, my name is Nicky Fletcher. My passion to work with children began at an incredibly young age. After graduating from high school, I began teaching preschool. Throughout the seven years of teaching, I continued my education in Child Development and graduated from Sonoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and a concentration in Human Development. I completed my undergraduate in 2010 as well as my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in 2011. I have more than twenty-two years of experience teaching children in a variety of environments consisting of daycare, private preschool, the Novato Unified School District, and in-home tutoring settings. In 2013 I became a mommy to a beautiful son named Tristan, in 2018 my youngest son Landon was born and in 2019 I had a little girl named Payton. Being a mom allows me to relate to our families and allows me to create the best program I can for your children.

My philosophy is that students should thrive physically, socially, emotionally, and academically so that they are eager to learn and flourish. I believe it is important to establish a positive, happy, productive, and educational program where your preschooler can grow and thrive. Establishing an open relationship between the teachers, students and parents is my first and foremost priority. Along with the educators at Miss Nicky’s Preschool, I will implement a balance between an academic curriculum and a play-based curriculum so that every child can express themselves creatively and develop social skills amongst their peers. Preschool is the steppingstone to help your child prepare for Kindergarten. I understand that each child is different and their abilities at such a young age are unique and special. I will continue to dedicate my effort in creating a preschool that offers your child the best possible experience so that each child is exposed to a safe, nurturing, and healthy school environment. Thank you for choosing Miss Nicky’s Preschool and trusting us with your amazing children.
